Waterside Refurbishment, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh

This home, perched over the River Erne opposite Enniskillen Castle, was stripped back to the original 1974 timber frame, revealing a need for some additional bracing on external walls.

The entire lower level of the house was re-organised and accommodates bedrooms, a lounge area, and a bathroom, with the bedrooms and lounge opening right on to the water’s edge.

The upper level features an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, as well as a study, utility room, and the master bedroom. The existing balcony railing was badly rusted and replaced with a new steel and glass balustrade, with the walkway forming the roof over the lower bedrooms.
